World Inspiring Network (WIN), a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending poverty through education, youth empowerment, and women’s empowerment, has partnered with Wikimedia Ghana, and other partners to organize the upcoming Wiki Green Conference.
The conference, which will be held on May 19th and 20th at the Science and Technology Policy Research Institute (STEPRI), will focus on the theme “Involving to Evolve – The new climate paradigm” and explore opportunities for youth in Ghana to actively participate in climate and environmental awareness creation in a gender diverse world.
“We are excited to partner with Wiki Green Initiative on this important event,” said Maxwell Odonkor, Founder and Executive Director of World Inspiring Network. “Climate change is a global issue, and it’s important that we work together to create a sustainable future for all. By bringing together experts, stakeholders, and participants, we hope to generate new ideas, partnerships, and solutions that will help address this pressing challenge.”
The conference will feature keynote addresses, a panel discussion, followed by training workshops for article creation and editing on Wikipedia. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with experts in the field, network with other like-minded individuals, and gain practical skills that they can use to promote environmental conservation and awareness.

In addition to the conference, World Inspiring Network and Wiki Green Initiative have also launched a call for participation, encouraging all interested individuals to apply to attend the event.
