Donate now and empower young Ghanaians with sustainable skills in edible insect farming, fostering jobs, food security, and environmental solutions.
This groundbreaking project focuses on empowering 10-15 young people in Kwamoso, Ghana, through sustainable edible insect farming. Over six months, participants will receive hands-on training to become pioneers in rearing, processing, and marketing Palm Weevil larvae.
The initiative directly tackles several key challenges: persistent youth unemployment in rural Ghana, the urgent need for affordable, high-protein animal feed for local farmers, and the environmental impact of agricultural waste.
By teaching youth to convert organic waste into valuable resources like nutritious animal feed and organic compost, this project provides a sustainable income source and champions a circular economy.
This pilot is designed to be a scalable model for other communities across Ghana and West Africa, fostering agri-tech skills, business acumen, and contributing to climate-smart agriculture and improved food systems.
